License to Carry (LTC)

State of Texas License to Carry Course

Fee per student: $75

Course Requirements are as follows: 

- Participation in Classroom Instruction, followed by completion of a state required LTC exam

- Completion of a state required range proficiency demonstration (50 rounds)

- Students must bring the following with with them the day of the course:

 handgun (secured and safely stored); correct ammunition for firearm; eye & ear protection; appropriate clothing for shooting on the range

Note regarding range proficiency demonstration: 

students must supply their own firearm for range portion of course; fire arm must be .22 caliber or greater; revolver or automatic may be used 

Class dates are scheduled in advance monthly and will begin at 8 AM on the designated class date (unless otherwise directed by designated course instructors).  The Texas License to Carry Course is a one day course and will typically conclude by 5:00 PM (depending on class size and other variables).

The course will typically begin with 4 to 5 hours of classroom instruction conducted at Enforcer Educational Services in Fairfield, Texas.  Classroom instruction will be followed by a brief break for lunch and the range proficiency demonstration at an off-site range.

Participants will received a course completion certificate that must be submitted to the state of Texas when making application for Texas License to Carry.  Please note that participants are responsible for making application to the state of Texas and submitting documentation to the state on their own behalf.

Payment in full is required to reserve a seat in a class prior to the day of the course.  All students must also sign a release form prior to course participation.
